Tabata Sprints on a Saturday Morning

This video shows a weekly session of Tabata sprint intervals. Tabata interval: Each interval is 20 seconds of intense work and 10 seconds of rest. Work can be sprinting, pullups, pushups, etc. Do eight consecutive intervals (total 4 minutes). If you have anything left at the end of the last interval, you didn't push yourself hard enough.

Environment Chemicals Feminizing Boys

If you're pregnant, you're supposed to forgo alcohol and tobacco. If you're carrying a boy, maybe you should stop wearing makeup as well. According to Professor Richard Sharpe of the Medical Research Council, cosmetics, as well as some cleaning products, contain hormone-disrupting chemicals that can "feminize" boys in the womb, leading to birth defects, testicular cancer, and low sperm counts.
Chemicals found in many food, cosmetic and cleaning products pose a real threat to male fertility, a leading scientist has warned.

Professor Richard Sharpe, of the Medical Research Council, warned these hormone-disrupting chemicals were "feminising" boys in the womb.

He linked them to raising rates of birth defects and testicular cancer and falling sperm counts.

When NOT to Take Vitamins

If you exercise strenuously and then go home and take some vitamins, those supplements may undo some of the benefits of your workout.
Taking vitamins after exercise may undo some of the beneficial effects of the workout, research suggests.

Some advocate taking antioxidants like vitamin C and E to help protect the body from harmful chemical by-products it creates in breaking into a sweat.

But German scientists now believe these "free radicals" may actually be good for us and even buffer against diabetes, PNAS reports.
