Excessive Cell Phone Use Affects Sleep in Teens

Cell phones may be a necessity, but common sense should tell us that putting a radiation-emitting device close to our brains for long periods of time isn't likely to be a good idea. A new study suggesst that excessive cell phone use affects sleep in teenagers.

Teenagers who excessively use their cell phone are more prone to disrupted sleep, restlessness, stress and fatigue, according to a research abstract that will be presented on June 9 at SLEEP 2008, the 22nd Annual Meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies (APSS). Read more
